A fascinating book–come read it in our library!
On Thursday, I was able to attend a special event at Powerhouse Arena bookstore in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn. The event featured several artists and scientists whose work is paired for this stunning new book, published by Chronicle.
Artists and scientists rotated at the podium, presenting slides of their work, and telling fascinating tales of research and wonder. I was inspired! After the talk, the participants hung around to chat and sign books, so I had several pages inscribed to our students.

The Erudite Dragon 
Post-script: The bookstore, Powerhouse Arena, where I attended the above event, was severely flooded during Hurricane Sandy. They lost most of their stock and the space was significantly damaged. Very sad!
